ShelfLife Editorial and Content Generation 

Mediateam is offering an early career candidate the opportunity to join the company on a full-time basis. The key focus is content generation for ShelfLIfe Magazine and ShelfLIfe.ie. This role will be based in our Sandyford, Dublin office, with an opportunity for hybrid working after an initial six month in-office period.

This opportunity is ideal for an enthusiastic, proactive individual, who is interested in pursuing a career in the business of media, public relations and professional content generation. The successful candidate will be published in print and online and be mentored and guided by a skilled and respected industry leading team.

We are seeking a candidate who is interested in business, hungry to learn and is self motivated. We are seeking an individual who will take advantage of the exceptional learning opportunity afforded by our professional team; someone who is keen to work on content representing a world of FMCG and technology brands.

The chosen candidate will have particular responsibility for helping to generate content for our market leading print and online products. There will be an opportunity for the direction and production of professional video content in the business to business space. The chosen candidate will learn about our house styles, production planning, deadlines and all of the other competencies that contribute to our award winning magazines, newsletters, websites and events:

Core competencies for the role: 

An interest in the “Business to Business” side of the media and events industry. Strong writing and editing skills. 

An interest in social media and digital publishing. 

A strong desire to work hard and achieve excellence. 

Availability to attend industry events representing the company. 

An interest in the future of content and the business of publishing.

Typical responsibilities include: 

Writing commercially sensitive articles and features. 

Writing and editing news stories and features in the publication’s house style. Ensuring work is well written, accurate and submitted to deadline. 

Keeping up-to- date with trends and developments, 

Representing the company at seminars, events, which may be evening time, and press conferences. 

Working with a small team to ensure excellent content is delivered on time. 

Uploading website content. 

Researching features and news stories. 

Preparing questions and interviewing subjects for articles. 

Completing and publishing weekly newsletters for peer groups. 

Assisting with commercial projects and events that are part of the wider Mediateam group. Contributing ideas and suggestions to the wider team at meetings.

The chosen candidate will have particular responsibility for helping to generate content on one or more of our market leading print and online products. There will be an opportunity for the direction and production of professional video content in the business to business space.
